Working Principle

Trommel screen, or rotary screen, separates materials based on sizes as the following process:
1.Material Feeding: Material is fed into a rotating cylindrical drum, either through a hopper or a conveyor system.
2.Rotating and Lifting: The drum rotates, causing internal lifter bars to lift and tumble the material, promoting even distribution and thorough mixing.
3.Screening: As the drum rotates, smaller particles pass through the perforations in the drum’s surface and are collected.
4.Movement and Discharging: Larger materials that do not fit through the perforations move along the drum due to its slight tilt and rotational movement, eventually exiting at the opposite end as the oversized materials.
The working efficiency of a trommel screener depends on factors like the drum’s speed, angle, diameter, length, and the size of the perforations.
